8 week immunisation side effects

One day for us. Keep up with the Calpol it really helped mine

None of my 3 have had temps when following the calpol regime but generally temps should be resolved by 24 hours. If not responding to calpol baby needs to be checked over

We were very lucky they only cried 10 seconds right after the shots (they were in the SCU for 12 days due to jaundice so they were used to being poked for tests :( ) and no fever at all. Calpol given straight away after shots and then 3x more times spaced by 4h each time.
No other reactions

Ours cried on and off all day, she wasn’t herself at all! No temperature though! She had hers on Tuesday and I still don’t think she’s 100% back to normal! She’s also got diarrhoea which is the side effect from the rota vaccine!

Thanks girls! I’ve been sticking to the calpol thing so luckily no temperature but she’s understandably sad, slept lots but when she wakes up she really cries and it is absolutely breaking my heart!

To add:- she had them at 11am today so hoping she’ll be on the road to recovery tomorrow? X

My girl was the same and was back to herself by mid morning the following day 😊 fingers crossed yours will be the same xxx

My girl cried just after for about 10 seconds, fell asleep and slept after every dose of calpol/bottle for a full 24 hours and had a slight temp. That was yesterday, today she is deffo not herself but she’s got no temp at all xo

My son had them yesterday at 11.30, followed the Calpol instructions, he did have a bit of a temp around 10 pm but it had resolved by 2am when he woke for a feed and didn't come back.

He's still a bit grumpy and sleepy today but better than yesterday

@Charley did u give a dose or calpol before injections

same here, our boy had his on Tuesday, hasn’t really had a temperature but we kept up the Calpol anyway on that day. Ever since he’s been crying pretty much all day (which he usually does in the evening anyway but during the day he’s usually ok). But definitely not 100% himself yet. Hoping he will return to normal again soon as it’s heartbreaking seeing him so upset more than usual 🥲

no we're told not to give it before as it could mask a temperature if they're already ill, which they'd want to know about and maybe not give the jabs until better.

The Calpol is for the men b which can cause a temp, but it doesn't come on immediately so you're fine to give first dose when you get home, and then two more 4-6 hours apart
