Toddler help NHS mouth breathing

I’m 99% my toddler has sleep apnea. He only breaths through his mouth it’s wide open and he snores. He sleeps terribly always has. Wakes at least 5 times a night still. Does anybody have any advice or experience?

I’m not a medic but could be enlarged adenoids. Go and see your GP for a referral to an ENT. You can get them removed - I had mine out when I was 5. It’s quite common.

@Kirsty thank you. Did it affect your sleep at the time do you know?

I’m not sure about my sleep, but I’m 99.9% convinced my 3 year old has them too, he has hearing loss, mouth breathing and sleep apnoea. Sleep apnoea can cause bad sleeping.

Adenoids can affect sleep cause they’re sleeping with their mouth open it causes dry mouth and throat which wakes them up My friends LB is 3 and had them out with his tonsils 3 months ago he’s never slept through the night and now he’s a 8-8 sleeper! Deffo worth getting him checked xxx

@Leah-Shannon thanks so much ❤️❤️

Have you had any update on this? Just curious as I’m trying to do some research myself as my toddler also sleeps with her mouth open. I’m adamant she has sleep apnea - drs have brushed it off twice now!
