Breast pumps

Hello! Does anyone have any recommendations for breast pumps? There are just SO many options and I feel like I really have no idea what is best! I want an electric one, but not really worried about anything fancy!

I’ve ordered myself Lola & Lykke Electric Pump from John Lewis. Hoping this’ll be a good one to use. You can have a look and read the reviews.

I have this pump and it's good!

So I only pumped to go back to work with my first and I have a pair of Lola lykke pumps (but if you want to do both sides at once or for it to be hands free you need a pumping bra) and then I also have Bellababy wearables. It really depends on what you want to pump for and what else you've got going on. If it's an occasional bottle and you get blessed with a chill baby then something which isn't hands free or even a manual pump will be fine but if you're planning to pump more then you'll want probably a traditional electric pump and wearables

are they okay to be cleaned in a steriliser?

I have used both steam steriliser and cold water steriliser with mine after washing and it's fine. The motor detaches easily. Only thing to be careful of is drying the top of the part the motor attaches too so you don't get moisture in the pump

thanks 😊. Feel happier I’ve gone for this, took me a while to decide on which one to buy.

How do you store sterilised bottles btw?

I didn't bottle feed so probably not the best to advise and we only used expressed milk from like 8 months on. But typically we'd keep the bottle in the cold water steriliser until we needed it, or in the steam steriliser until required. Milk was stored in bags in fridge or freezer

I really liked the single breast pump by Tommee Tippee. I could get more out using the singular one. I did also have the double one as was quicker sometimes but didn’t get as much out.

I have momcozy v2, the motor packed in after 10 months. When I complained the company sent me a brand new pump with all the bits free of charge within a week, so I highly recommend momcozy. Great pump and great customer service

I have the spectra s2 and it empties me as well as the Medela pump that I used in the hospital.
