Babies face squished???

I had a scan yesterday and was told my babies face was pressed up into my placenta, I am 32 weeks pregnant. She didnt seem concerned just said we will not be able to get any photos, has anyone else had this happen or does anyone know if it is safe or not?

My son was squished against his as well and the photos we got his face looked all funny. It’s totally safe and normal, they get their oxygen and food through the umbilical cord. We joked that my son used my placenta as a pillow lol

I had a 4d scan at 30 weeks and all her pictures she had a squashed nose. So much so we asked if all was okay and the sonographer said it was just because she was squished but nothing to worry about.

On my ultrasound my daughter was ‘licking’ my placenta. The doc told me that they can taste what we eat. No clue if that’s true or not.

Yes, both my kids would squish their faces so we couldn’t get pictures. Stubborn from conception 😂

It’s normal! Just the photos won’t be good,

@Isabella aww lol. I guess some truth that they can taste the food we eat. Lol.

Im 34 +5 and her face has been pushed up on my anterior placenta for the last few visits. They told me it is normal shes comfy and using it as a pillow she has been all snuggled into it lol which is cute but we also have no good photos from her doing this

@Isabella 😂 thats funny.. on the 4D scan we tried to have our baby was “chewing” on his umbilical cord 🤦‍♀️

@Nico yeah I was a little gutted at first but then thought well as long as he is comfy and safe that is all that matters 🙂

Very normal at that stage of pregnancy that’s why they often recommend 28 weeks ish as the sweet spot for 4D scans. Big enough that you can see their features and not yet too big to see them properly x
