Itching

Does anyone else's baby seem to have developed a bad habit of scratching themselves? My baby does this ALL the time now. On his head, face. Legs. His chest, stomach. It's very frustrating because he is making himself bleed a lot of the time and ending up with scabs.

I don't know if this is an outlet for teething or whether it's something deeper like a milk allergy.

I'm cutting his nails once a week or more at the moment because his nails grow so bloody fast which doesn't help.

Yes mine does when drinking milk but I think it's just a comforting thing. If its getting too bad with cutting just cover the hands. If it's not too bad I wouldn't worry too much x

Yeah my son rubs his head when fighting his sleep and often has marks on his head or nose despite me often checking his nails ! X

I call it the 6 month scratchy phase 😂 my daughter does it on almost any surface she can get her hands on (herself included)

My eldest also did it, i think it's part of their discovery like when they discover their hands and feet and all the do is stare at them 😂 x

My son’s doctor says it’s avoiding sleep, self soothing or distracting from teething.
