Easier to birth boys vs girls?

Been hearing it's harder to birth girls than boys and was just curious as to what a poll on their topic would come out like as seems to be a strange notion.

If you have had multiple births, boy/girl children, which sex was hardest to birth?

That seems like an old wives tale, why TF would gender affect birth experience??

to be fair when I was being induced I was in for 4 days with my son and every other mother being induced was also having a boy too. The midwife told me they often see more boys being induced or born late as apparently they’re lazier for birth…

No birth is easy though but I think that gender can somewhat dictate arrival. My mum had 2 boys and 2 girls. Induced with both boys past the due date and both me and my sister came early on our own x

@Ella, no idea. That's why I posed the question. I'd never heard of it before either until the last few days, and I thought it was interesting.
The only thing I can think would or could make any difference in girls vs. boys are their hormones during labour and how they interact, help or hinder the mothers' hormone reaction during labour but will be interesting to see results on it here.

@Shannon interesting. Also heard boys are slower/harder to get latched for initial breast feeding and slower to hit milestones in general compared to girls.

Ive had 2 boys and a girl.

2nd boy & my girl were very similar. Neither was very difficult births and both around 20 mins total

Also my first was harder but he wasnt facing the right way so nothing to do with his gender x

If anything I would guess girls would be easier on average because of their average size being smaller, but it could just be that my girl was second and my body already knew what it was doing that time. In reference to the milestones comment I have heard boys tend to hit physical milestones first and other milestones later. My son hit all physical milestones early and speach was late and so far my 5 month old girl is much more interested in making sounds and on time for physical so maybe that one has some truth.

My girl was smaller and also my second birth. If most of those boys were first labours, your first labour is almost always harder.

I've never heard of this, but it's not true, my sister had 2 boys 1st one 5 days in labour back to back, 2nd nearly killed her and had to have emergency C-section and surgery afterwords.
I had a girl laboured for 3days but was quite an easy birth

My son didn’t breastfeed well but he was early for alot of milestones x

Okay I googled this and it is in fact true that boys go on average a day later so they are on average slightly heavier (only 0.1kg though).

So there you go, girls probably ARE easier to birth on average
