Lemon and ginger tea

Hi Mamas, has anyone taken this tea from tea pigs while pregnant. I bought it a week ago and I love it as it’s lemon and ginger flavour is supper intense but I read on the pack that it contains lemon grass(25%) and liquorice root. I drank lots of it lastweek without any issue until I read today that liqourice root and lemon grass isn’t save in pregnancy.
I’m currently 27weeks pregnant. Do I stop taking it? Any suggestions on a safer lemon and ginger tea?
I don’t want Twinning or pukka as I find there’s very little lemon and ginger flavour from them. Thanks

If you are worried about teas having things in it, you could make the infuse yourself, you add lemon juice and cut slices of lemon with cut pieces of fresh ginger, you can also great a bit of ginger for more flavour and then add hot water. You can make a big one and keep it in a thermos so can drink through out the day 😊

to be I’ve thought of this but I’ve just been too lazy to get it done. I’ll give it a go as I love my lemon and ginger brew. Thanks a lot. xx

Yeah, completely get you, I was the same but found almost all lemon ginger tea were really weak and the home made infused tasted better. But at least with a big thermos you are covered for the day!

Ive never heard of them not being safe- I just go by the NHS list. Maybe just drink a bit less if youre worried but Im sure its fine

I’d make it yourself, cut up some fresh ginger and squeeze in some lemon/add a lemon slice to taste. So much nicer! You can continue to top up with hot water throughout the day :)
