Eating sand

Have you had their bloods done to make sure they aren’t iron deficient? Kinda sounds like pica..

@Tash yes, I have a bloods form ready to go. Just have to wait a month as she was recently unwell.

In saying this some small people just put things in their mouths. :) My kid has never really done it but I’ve seen it a lot.

My 20 month old also loves to eat sand too 😂

My boy loves to eat sand! It's a sensory thing, discovering the world one mouthful at a time 😂

Yep, my girl did this around the same age too. She’s grown out of it now.

My 17 month old puts sand in her mouth but I think to test it out. She doesn’t load handfuls in. When I pick her up from day care she’s covered in sand including her mouth. I don’t tend to stop her, it’s going to happen anyway.
