Newborn squirming

Does anyone else’s baby squirm? My little girl grunts, kicks and squirms so much in her sleep to the point it keeps me awake and she keeps waking herself up by having a little cry then will go back to sleep. She is constantly in and out of this ‘deep sleep’ and ‘squirming’ alternating all through the night. Obvious thing would be wind but I am getting that up after each feed? When she’s awake / alert she shows no sign of discomfort just a happy content baby. X

Maybe you could see if improves after seeing a chiropractor?

Yes, my little one was such a loud baby😂he finally settled with the noise around 6/7 weeks. Moved on to leg slamming in his sleep😂and finally got peaceful around 4 months. He still moves so much in his sleep at 5 months but not enough to wake me It is normal, it’s called active sleep. My little one used to scream in his sleep too which was terrifying😂

We are having the same issue, as we speak my LO has me up for this same reason. He is 10 weeks old

It’s called active sleeping - it’s part of their sleep cycle. But yes, it’s very strange and unsettling- my son is 6weeks old and I still don’t know how to navigate it^^ But it looks like it calms down around the 3M mark!

Update - I have a ‘love to dream’ swaddle that I’ve never used, tried it tonight and so far she’s been in a deep sleep and NO SQUIRMING 🙈 I’ve been using the regular sleeping bags with her arms free as didn’t really like the look of her arms being trapped in the love to dream. Will see how I get on x
