To start labour, do you have to be really active?

Hi, I am just wondering if you have to be really active to start labour? I'm so lazy and tired, and all I do is still down or lay down?

Has anyone else been lazy and started labour naturally

Same! I’m 39 weeks and 4 days right now, and I’m feeling so lazy to do anything. No signs of labor coming anytime soon!

I was lazy too with both my babies. I too thought this wouldn’t help labour.
I ended up going for a short walk (fed up of being indoors) and my waters broke. First time round I did gardening and my waters broke so 🤷‍♀️ maybe being active (but only slightly can help?)

I don’t think you have to be really active either, I’ve been going on long walks every day 39+2 weeks and I have absolutely no labour signs, these walks include walking up and down hills and are about 3 miles long so I wouldn’t get caught up in having to be super active xo

I was so inactive with my first and went into labour spontaneously on his due date. Equally inactive this time and 39+2 and still waiting - my PGP and SPD is so bad both times so cannot do long walks etc 🫠 fingers crossed our babies arrive soon !
