Hey ladies! I’m 3 months postpartum and over the last week or so I’ve been feeling dizzy/light headed at the most random times - it only lasts about a second and can be when I’m sitting/standing/doing something. I’ve never had vertigo before so not sure if the dizziness is vertigo or just dizziness related to something else. I’m going to book a doctors appt but until then has anyone experiences this? 😔

Hello! Are you breastfeeding? You might be dehydrated. This happened to me where I realized I wasn’t drinking enough water and I was super dizzy and it got to the point where I was kind to slurring my words and would get confused.

Even if you aren’t breastfeeding it could be worth upping your water and getting an electrolyte beverage.

Does your neck hurt?

Request a blood test to check for an iron deficiency, very common after birth due to blood loss etc xx

I saw another post like this prior and a lot of people commented it could be from hormone shifts and can be linked to when we stop breast feeding or big shifts like that
hey! Not actively hurting but last few days when u turn it’s been hurting on one side - kind of when you’ve slept funny! Is neck pain a bad sign of something?
no mostly formula with pumping one bottle a day! Maybe it’s still dehydration - I’ll try upping my water intake - thank you so much! Hope you’re better now too! 🫶🏼
thank you!
definitely think I need to! 😔
oh that makes sense! Thank you!

Hope it eases soon !

Are you still taking your prenatals? Might also need extra iron

It's not that neck pain is a bad sign of something at all. You just finished being pregnant. The relaxin in your body has decreased. You're stooping over a baby. Your neck can get 'knots' and super tight, and (I speak from experience after spinal surgery and 10 years of neck problems) this can absolutely cause:
Nausea, vertigo, ringing in your ears, very bad headaches of different types, numb fingers, tingling, extreme fatigue.
I'm not saying it is what it is, but if you have any tightness stretch out your neck (gently and for 30m so that the muscles are tricked to release). If you massage your neck too hard, or stretch too extremely, the muscles could get even tighter and then you'll be in a World of pain.
