I use Fridababy windi gasspassers. They work an absolute miracle. I was extremely hesitant at first but wish I grasped the confidence to do it sooner as my little one gets so much relief from them. We are still using them at 5 weeks old š„¹ they do seem a bit scary to use but we have never looked back once we have saw the instant relief!
Our little one is the same (4 weeks today) can often go 2 days without pooing, however has heavy wee nappies every change. She went 3 days without having a poo, which raised with the GP as we were there for something else and they said to keep trying all the natural things we were doing. Things we have tried which have worked: - ābicycleā leg movements - having her on our chests so they are upright with the extra help of gravity doing its bit! - circular rubbing of the tummy - holding behind knees and bringing up to stomach and holding there - when changing, using a wet cotton wool ball and rubbing around her bum to try and stimulate for her to poo (recommended when we were in hospital) We havenāt actually tried to use anything like infacol as of yet as it was recommended not to by midwife/health visitor, but that could mainly be because our little one is premature (5 weeks early), however also because her feeding hasnāt been affected since this started. Hope this helps! š
I second the windi gasspasser, my nearly 5 week old has a terrible time afternoon into late evening, screaming. Poops have subsided to one a day/every two days. I was hesitant at first but willing to try them after reading reviews and not coping with the screaming. Some massages and he gets the wind out and normally some poop. It seems to be temporary with mine, he will start crying again after a short time but it does help and he will poop on his own a little while after having it in
Thanks for the advice ladies! After trying absolutely everything including the Windi, I went to the pharmacy who gave me a suppository, popped it in and it worked a treat, baby is soooo lovely and settled now š„¹ x
@Kelly oh good it does help! For the first time in 3 weeks we've had two dirty nappies in the last 30 hours which is a huge improvement and made for a much happier baby
I donāt know if it worked but google baby reflexology, Iāve done this the last couple of times babyās not had a dirty nappy and a few hours later heās filled it! Might have been a fluke but worth a try x

Our health visitor recommended infacol that helped the first couple of times it happened to my baby. If its that bad, call 111 to get an out of hours gp appointment they can prescribe lactulose or a suppository to help open the bowels. It is unfortunately something they will grow out of but when it's been days and they are that uncomfortable its needed. Only other thing is if you are formula feeding the bottles of premix can help so worth trying that for a couple of days to see if can help I think there's something in them that helps. My baby is nearly 6 weeks old and still dealing with this but there are positive signs so hopefully we're finally heading in the right direction
