Same ! I’m 33 weeks pregnant and I’m not sure when to start

I was thinking of starting around 36 weeks

I've never heard of okra water

https://www.letstalkbirthandbaby.co.uk/blog-posts/is-raspberry-leaf-tea-beneficial but it sounds like there are small studies showing effectiveness in reducing the second stage of labor with raspberry leaf tea. More info here

with my first I waited until 36 weeks but some people on TikTok saying after 32 weeks is okay to start the tea so im not sure

i think its a Caribbean thing mostly supposed to prevent from getting cut

So to prevent tears , from the many birth vlogs I've seen, the biggest thing is changing positions

id ask your midwife or ob

I actually pushed my son mostly on my side but still ended up needing one stitch , actually even with my positioning being better

i will and yea biggest mistake was birthing on my back

So, there's no studies that have been done to indicate efficacy of okra water.... But okra does have good health benefits.
Yeah the nice thing was they l and d nurses asked me how I wanted to actually do the pushing , regarding positioning . On side is really good. So is on all fours

There is efficacy shown for eating dates though

is it even safe?

I can attest that the okra water an raspberry leaf tea helped me on my first born I can’t recall when I started but I did it early I’m near 15 weeks and plan to start up with them as I had a pretty fast delivery no tears and placenta came out as soon as my son was out no trouble I did my birth in a birthing house in Miami loved the environment and midwife’s helping they had a bed so I started out doing a water birth but things got to ramped up and he had to be delivered so I got moved to the bed I pushed from my back and like I said no tears don’t be afraid evidence or not it has its nutrients and benefits so don’t be afraid to take on a good momma cocktail of okra water… I like to mix mine I did a lil orange juice, I made my okra water in advance and then some strawberry syrup with a tad bit of lemon juice, sugar the rim of the glass if your feeling fancy.
