Help - potential wheat allergy

Hi! Last night my 7 month old had a spag bol pouch which contains wheat and came out in a hives like rash on his cheeks, under his chin and neck/shoulders. This morning I have given him some Weetabix with his milk and it’s come up again. It’s like a stinging nettle rash with white bumps and really red! Has anybody else experienced this?? It’s on his hands too this morning where he’s obviously touched the Weetabix!

Does this mean he has a wheat allergy?? There are no allergies in our family whatsoever 🙈

Could it be the dairy? Some spaghetti pouches have cheese in them. If not it definitely seems like an allergic reaction ☹️

Hmm I don’t think so because he’s had cheese before and the milk he had with the Weetabix this morning was his own milk (Kendamil) which he’s always been fine on

I would say so, perhaps contact your HV / GP and see if they can confirm? Are there any other symptoms, especially effecting breathing? If so, immediately stop and get immediate advice/help.

Otherwise, I'd probably stop the wheat for a day or two, then try again with a tiny amount once its cleared and see if it comes back.

Definitely a wheat allergy then. I’d contact the GP and your health visitor for advice 🙂

Looks like he might have an allergy to wheat and dairy. I would stay away and make an appointment with his pediatrician.

why dairy? 🤔

Not necessarily be the wheat but it could be the tomato. The acidity can cause rashes on sensitive skin

it happened with just Weetabix though on its own for breakfast
