Should I worry about miscarriage?

I really don’t know what to expect after having an early reassurance scan. I’ve had lots of cramping which probably make a bit more sense now. Gestational 7w+2 but measuring 8w (15.56mm) and they found a haemorrhage measuring 24.3mm x 22.0mm x 6.2mm. The sonographer was hesitant to say anything and told me to speak to a midwife as soon as possible. This of course has worried me. Should I be concerned?

Can i ask if anything has happen from this? Literally had my early scan today but measured at 9w with small sack of blood below the baby sack. I have had cramping and very light bleeding since returning home . I hope you and baby are ok and can maybe offer a little reassurance for me x

Hi @Max.. so sorry to hear this, I understand how worrying it is. I am waiting for an early nhs scan with the early pregnancy unit on Monday. I’ll let you know how it goes. The news settled in with me and thankfully the panic subsided. From doing some reading it can be common in early pregnancy and can be passed/absorbed into the body. Let’s hope for us both that’s the case. Sending love and thoughts and hope you’re ok too x

@Max a little update, I’ve had another scan and the hematoma is still there and roughly three same size. Disappointing it’s not absorbed but hoping for it to be less for the 12 week scan

Hello I’m stressed to the max ! I’ve been bleeding for nearly three weeks now and the hematoma has gotten larger triple the size compared to last time 😔 I feel like when I move the bleeding gets worse. I’ve been informed there is not much they can do I’ve been back and forth to hospitals and drs .

@Megan are you doing okay? i had same issues but my daughter was born and she is 9 months old now and healthy
