Hi mums. We’ve had our 6 week health visitor visit and she weighted him. I was really happy before she came but she said he’s on 20 percentile thing and now I’m a bit worried. He was born at 6.3lbs (3.1kg) and he’s not 9.5lbs (4.4kg).
What was everyone’s baby weighting at 6 weeks ? Also what percentile ?

My little girl is 10lb 9 at 6 weeks and was 7lb at birth, 50th percentile I think xx

Mine was 9th percentile, you're doing great!

10 lb 1 at 6 weeks 50th percentile

This is why I don't have HV involved they make you think constantly on edge or something is wrong.
My bub was born at 37+3 at 5lb3oz and at his 6 week check up he was 8lb3oz, so 3lb gain from birth is on the lower percentile but following symmetrically up on all his graphs and that's the main thing is they are gaining not dropping. Your baby sound perfectly fine love, my first born wasn't on any of the graphs when he was born he followed his own line below the percentile graph and he is perfectly fine. I would be concerned if took long time for weight to gain or was loosing weight only xx

That seems like a good gajn to me. My 8 week old was born at 6lb 6, and is not yet 9lb. Sge was 8.4 at 7 and a half weeks, and on the 2nd percentile. Your baby had gained a lot more than mine. I wouldn't be worried.

are you allowed to just not have the health visitor involved? I would be interested in that, as they feel more intrusive than helpful

yes. It's an optional service that you can decline x
