Cat kneading
Does anyone else’s male cat get a red rocket (penis come out) whilst kneading?
He does it numerous times a day to his blanket and if he gets the chance (me or my partner). I know he has a red rocket because he does a certain motion when kneading that indicates enjoyment (leg flicking and toe spread).
He is neutered, but I don’t know why he does this? Is it normal?

One of my mums cats used to do this but he had a brain injury so I’m interested to know what other people say!
Yep! I have lots of cats; most of them male (all neutered). One in particular does this when he's very relaxed and happy. It's not a sexual thing at all; just means he's very chilled and content. He was left by his mum at a very early age and also suckles his own arm/paws for comfort...still now at the age of 14! He is very sensory in that respect, so even if he sees me giving one of the others a lot of fuss and pats, he automatically starts purring. He just loves feeling comforted! I guess the red rocket is just something involuntary 😆🚀
Ps. Just a disclaimer: it can be to do with arousal, just not with mine.
It depends if they display any other behaviours alongside it!
Generally though..completely normal! Just weirds people out sometimes 😂
My male cat does the kneading but then he slowly starts humping the blankets but I chase him off them when I see him starting to hump but he is neutered as well
