Yeah I get this. What I do is put on a meditation (I use the calm app or head space!) or calming audiobook or podcast and just tell myself to lie down and close my eyes and listen. Even just lying still with your eyes shut calmly is restorative and your body and mind will thank you for the rest even if you aren't sleeping. Then if you take the pressure off sleeping & aim for relaxing only then you're more likely to fall asleep or at least doze xx
I struggled with this over Christmas but eventually I was so tired that I just crashed and took the sleep. I think your body just gets adjusted to sleep deprivation it’s hard to suddenly switch to a new pattern of things but it will ease with time.
@Cerys is your baby still in with you in your room ? My little one is still in our room and waking up twice a night! Did you do anything to get them to sleep through x
no i’m the exact same. my little one has just started sleeping through the night again after her regression and i’m so tired, can’t sleep at all😭
