Teething or sleep Regression?

So my LB is 14 weeks old today and last night we had one of the worse nights we’ve had in a while. We put him to bed at 6:30 and he usually sleeps till around 3:30/4:30am. Of course we do get wake ups between but not always. So last night he fell asleep at 6:30, woke at 7:50 and fell asleep again quite quickly. He slept till 11 which is very unusual for him. I tried to give him a bottle but he had little to no interest drinking maybe 1-2oz. After some soothing i got him back to sleep but he woke again at 12am and this continued through the whole night waking up every 30mins to an hr. I’ve tried feeding him but still have no interest. He wasn’t too interested in his bedtime bottle drinking maybe 4 out of 6oz but he does that quite often. So over the last 12 hours he’s only had maybe 8oz, where as usually he would have maybe 5/6oz at 6:30pm, then 5/6oz between 3:30/4:30 and then another 5/6oz between 6:30/7:30. Then that would continue throughout the day. When he is waking he is more fussy then usual as he doesn’t tend to wake up crying, it’s usually just cooing and noise to wake us up. But last night he sounded more uncomfortable and unhappy but still wasn’t crying. I’m very reluctant to give him calpol or any teething “medication” as I’m not sure if he is teething…he gums are very hard and I can see white on the side of the gum but I can’t see any actual coming out the top of his gum. He has been chewing and drooling recently. He doesn’t seem in pain or overly uncomfortable in the day time. It’s just so hard to understand and navigate!! I wish he could just talk to me!!!

We starting teething around 11 weeks and didn’t see a tooth til she was about 9 months old (they did come on the edge of the gum and then disappear). Their mouths can hurt just from the teeth moving around in their gums. If he is teething, it might be hurting him more at night because he is lying down. We gave her ashton and parson gel to start after being quite reluctant and some teetha granules. Those are all natural remedies and pretty harmless. I think if he is chewing and drooling it could be teething. You can try other things like the cold chews or a cold soaked muslin cloths. We did frozen milk in those fruit feeders which worked super well (it was breastmilk but I’m sure you can try some version with formula is that what he is on). Sending hugs, its tough when they go from sleeping well to waking up loads. Hope it passes soon for you all

@Kelly thank you, I’m going to see how he is today and maybe try him with some teething gel and have a look at some other remedies we can use. Thank you lovely x

They have a sleep regression at 4 months so it might just be that but a little bit early.
