Baby yelling in sleep

Morning Do any of you have this? It’s more like a whine really. I think mine could be due to the linking of sleep cycles? I watched the monitor. She fidgets / grabs one of the XXX dummies in her cot and then goes back off …. But I then can’t get back to sleep!

Is it every hour or 90mins? We have moans too but normally when she is crying it escalates and she needs me

Last night was around 10. 1:05. 2:55. 4:00. Woke at 5🤷🏼‍♀️

Yep exactly the same

@Samina odd isn’t it. It’s nothing new - this has been consistent for many months. YELLLLLL, then sleeeeeep

I guess I consider them being very loud moans too then 🤣 in our case she doesn’t settle by herself though every single time

Yeah- not really sure what it is. Previously she’d do it then turn over and go back to sleep but currently doesn’t and going in to resettle her every time 😢

Yeah my LG has just stated doing this, almost like groaning really loudly

My LG cries and shouts out in between sleep cycles. Can be hard sometimes because I have to leave her to see if she's going to go back off or she's actually shouting out because she's hungry or uncomfortable! If it's shouting in between sleep cycles it's normally not long before she's back off asleep, less than a minute I'd say (feels like longer!)

@Hayley yep she's been doing this a while too kind of got used to it. There's actual tears too sometimes and she's still asleep through it all.

Thank you all. What I’ve noticed …. We all have girls too…??? Mines always done it. She slept next to me until last week but now she’s in her own room and still making the noises. She seems fine but I did go in 3x last night as she was really loud! Absolutely fine tho. Thanks for your replies 🩷💕

It’s strange though as she only does it during the night sleep never during naps - is yours just nights, or naps too?

@Gemma nights only too

@Gemma nightsf also. She had 1hr42 this morning nap and I heard nothing. In fact she barely moved. Night time however the sounds start around 9:30/10 - she goes to bed between 7-7:30.

We’re very similar!! Always starts at about 10:10 each evening 🙈 normally down for 7:30

Currently in a cycle of or (3:15) and she’s moving around a lot in her cot. Will have to do a check in as it’s turning in to tears now.

Well it’s 4:23 now and I can’t get back off to sleep - life with insomnia and a baby is difficult 😴

We've had 2 cycles of tears now and I can't get back to sleep too

I swapped rooms / shift and she slept til 7:43. 12hrs. What a NOISY sleeper she is tho. I was WIDE awake. I didn’t have to go in In the end tho - she self settled at least.

@Hayley likewise, she's just gone back to sleep again too but she's such a wriggler and noisy! Also wanted to get into bed with us.

@Samina that’s what I thought would happen but I left her. I don’t want to make a habit of bringing her in to my bed. I went in the other room and my mum took over - funnily she then made no noises mum said! Her “performance” must have been 3-5:30 when I was awake. I can’t wear earplugs as I need to hear her. Monitor was muted but her noise was prominent. I’m clueless. Besides it all she had a great sleep in her own room for 12hrs!

@Hayley so strange isn't it... my girl slept really well too and we share rooms so I can't really switch off and go back to sleep. Been up since 4am but wide awake!

This is going to sound awful but bear with - I muted the monitor for this reason, as bad as it sounds I can still see him and can also hear him if he’s genuinely crying/upset but I don’t hear the random cries where he self settles. Previously I would go up to him as soon as I heard him but I think I was actually waking/disturbing him

@Charlotte yes I did this! Last night was just awful. We had so much noise that she ended up in with me BUT STILL had the vocal orchestra. Squeals - yells - whines you name it 😬

@Hayley The night noises! It’s literally the worst when you’re trying to sleep isn’t it. My little one has also realised he can sit up and move around….must sleep in a 1000 different locations a night

@Charlotte she was a full blown orchestra last night !!
