@Alesha sounds like you’re doing what is best for your baby boy mama and what he needs! The time will come when you both feel ready. My little girl is just a little shit lol! I need her in her own bed now. Can I please ask what cot you have for him?
We have an IKEA cot (Sniglar) and the matress is IKEA too (Krummelur). Works really well for us! 🤗
Thank you. I think ours is the mamas & papas Mia cotbed. It’s on the lowest setting now as he can pull himself up and I often put him in there whilst I shower and stuff. X
Ours is a Kim cot from Smyths, however if your baby is tall they won't be in it long. My daughter's cot is on the lowest setting now and the bar is same level as her armpits nearly (she's 8.5 months). I'd also recommend getting one where the side drops as I find it hard work putting the baby in at the lowest setting (I have to almost dangle over the side). Basically I don't recommend the Kim cot 🤣🤣
My boy is still using the next to me crib (sometimes) although his cot is set up and I know he should be using it, we are still mostly cosleeping because everytime we get to a point where I think of moving him into it (is in his own room as it won’t fit in mine) he gets ill and everything is disrupted, so we end up together again to dreamfeed so I can get some sleep to care for him, then I catch it and it’s extended! Il just keep going like this as long as we’re both okay with it. As soon as we see a better sleep/feed pattern return I will try his own room
