I am currently in the same boat. I have been using her carrier a whole lot. That way she feels close to you and you can get some peace and quiet. Being attached to her isn’t ideal. But at least until I know she’s asleep she’s in the carrier, when she’s not we take a few contact naps a day to help with her fussiness. I also tried bundling up and taking her on a walk today, that seemed to help with the fussiness. We’ll see how tonight goes lol. But that’s what’s been working for me so far. Oh and also lots of dance parties. If your baby likes music, dance and sing some of the sleepy away. It’s exhausting work, but you’re doing a great job. Give yourself some grace and understand that we can’t always make them happy. They’re little humans who don’t understand how to life, I would be angry too. You’ve got this!! And if you need someone to talk to I’m here
There is a period of big brain/developmental growth right now. That leads to a very fussy period of several weeks. It usually peaks at 6-8 weeks. So you are probably in the thick of it right now.
Also I exclusively pump. It’s been rough. But she sleeps anywhere from 30m-4h during the day. At night, I’ve letting her sleep and she’ll sleep 6h stretches
Hang in there mama! My lo is 8 weeks, and we went through a time recently of her just wanting to be held allll day long! It was brutal but we got beyond that stage. I am strictly breastfeeding my baby, however, I learned that if I gave her a bottle with 4 ounces of milk before bed she’d sleep a lot longer! She went from sleeping 3 hours to 6 hours!
Hi love I highly recommend the wonder weeks app- sounds like your sweet baby is going through the first leap - all amazing signs of developmental! Starts with a fussy phase and then moves into implementation. The app explains a ton more and atleast you know when they are on there way to mentally prepare & what to look for. You aren’t alone 🙏🏻 sleep when baby sleeps and pump when you can to give bigger feedings to measure exact bc they are also going through the 6 week growth spurt! Xo you’ve got this 💪🏻💪🏻
Mine Is 6w as of Wednesday and she's been cluster feeding at night the last week. I'm tired. She's more irritable when she wakes up than she was but she's starting to get out of it already, somewhat.
I’m in the same boat with my 6 week old 😭 feeling exhausted and hopeless tbh. Hoping it gets easier. I have no advice for you, but just know you aren’t alone 🤍 I also breastfeed and it varies so much. Sometimes he can go close to 4 hours and sometimes he wants more within an hour and a half
