Outgrowing bassinet :(

Anyone else dreading baby outgrowing the bedside bassinet and having to sleep in their own room? Makes me so sad. 😞 I just want to keep baby in my room next to me, especially since she still wakes for feedings 1-2 times per night! I know cosleeping is an option but my husband being in the bed makes it super uncomfortable

is there a way to fit her crib in your room? my baby outgrew his bassinet (and just didnt want to sleep in there) so we moved his crib into our room

Mine is in a pack and play by my bed since she outgrew the bassinet (she also still feeds several times at night.)

Can you try a pack n' play temporarily for your bedroom? Most of them are rated safe for sleep, ours slept in the main part for a few months after she outgrew the bassinet attachment. It takes up less space than the crib, plus the pack n' play can double as a baby jail / travel bed when they become more active and mobile.

My baby outgrew it month 2 because of how tall she is. I just gave her crib right next to me and then bedshare half of the night into the morning.

We used a pack n play by our bed

My son sleeps in a portacot in my walk in, he's safe and I can see him at night

Yes. We set up the pack n play in our room because im still not ready

Get a small travel cot or a compact cot to fit in your bedroom. We have both our kids in our bedroom as oldest one often times struggle with sleep due to eczema, and youngest one keeps waking up at night, it’s just not practical to have them in a separate room. So they are with us even though it cramps up the bedroom.

Do you have space for a crib in your room? Mine is approaching 4 years and she still sleeps in our room. If you can squeeze it in, there's no reason you have to move her to her own room
