Help!

I have been using a white noise machine with my 1 year old for a few months now and I feel like it helps her sleep and also muffles any other sound that could wake her up. Today the charger just broke and no other charger that we have in the house works. She kept waking up due to not having the white noise so I started googling ways of charging it etc. While searching for information I found many things online saying that using a white noise machine every night can cause noise induced hearing loss??? I’m freaking out atm as I’ve been using it for a while and never knew this. Any of you moms do use a white noise? And if so, have you heard of this? Is it even true? Now I’m wondering if I should stop using it and just try and get baby used to sleep without it?

My eldest has had white noise now for 3 years, mainly due to using it for her as a baby and then having my dec 2023 baby and she is absolutely fine, as long as it's at a suitable volume I'm sure there is nothing to worry about, white noise is a saviour for most parents x

We've used one pretty much every night since our little one was a couple of months old 😬 I think this is unlikely to be true because it's no louder than just general daytime noise i.e. talking, playing music, other children playing and screaming at nursery/soft play etc

I think that's just if the white noise is really loud and also close to their head/ears all night, I also had a similar panic after reading something like this after having my 1st 🙈

we use youtube for him to sleep since he was born..our bedroom tv never shuts off 😅
