I’ve not tried this cos my LO is not old enough to sleep in his own room but I saw something online about laying on the floor and they will lay down in their cot to be closer to you and fall asleep whereas standing near the cot will make them think they are going to be picked up. Let me know if this works as I’m curious!
@Sarah hiii this is a very good idea !! 😊 but I forgot to also mention the cot is still next to our bed so I lie down in The bed and he can see me I pretend to be asleep ! And I’ve even tried leaving the room to see if that works to but nope 🥹 xx
Oh no :(
None of my 3 children would sleep in a cot they would cry to be in bed with us. So we have had 3 sleep in bed with us until they got to about 2 years old and then each one of them settled in their own bed. But still my 3 year old needs one of us in his bed to fall asleep at night. I I just think it’s such a short time they are so young it’s nice to give them that love whilst they are young. It goes so fast before you know it they are independent and at school so just make the most out of it.
we’re having the exact same issue with my little boy at the moment!
My son was the same when he grew out of his next me. He was ok his crib for few weeks of that then just was ok our bed. I'm the end around 1 years I got a floor bed for him and he sleeps really well now and loves it.
Also, yes I have tried a cot mobile, white noise and tired leaving him a bit to settle xx
