My 8 week old did a few 8 hour nights. We are back to every 4 hours now and she's 6 months xx
My baby started having longer stretches at around 6-7 weeks, waking up once or twice during the night. What made a difference was starting a bedtime routine at the same time every day, making sure the bedroom is warm and dark with white noise and a dummy for comfort. I promise you it’ll get better x
It's biologically normal to wake every 2-3 hours at this age but it is awful (I'm in it too). It will pass. I hope sooner rather than later but honestly humans wake up a lot in the night.
My 16m old still wakes often at night🥴 around 5-6 months I would say she started making it to 4-5 hour stretches but even then some nights now she doesn’t sleep that long
17 months and a longer stretch for us is 4 hours. And it doesn’t happen often.
My baby was like that n then I started cosleeping coz I couldn't do it anymore, once I started cosleeping he started to sleep for longer periods of time. By 7 weeks he started sleeping through the night n then I started putting him in his cot when he was in a deep sleep. Sometimes he would wake up n I would co sleep again n by 9 weeks he was sleeping through the night in his own cot, ik cosleeping is controversial but it's always safer to have a mama who isn't exhausted because that's when most people have accidents n cause more harm to babies then it is to cosleep if it helps u both get a good night's rest, my health visitor recommended it to me, best advice I ever took x
