Grunting!

My little girl is 5 weeks old tomorrow and recently she grunts and squirms alllllll night 🙃 I’ve been thinking it’s her waking for a feed but she does it even after I’ve fed her for the rest of the night! Im wondering if instead of getting her out to feed her I should just leave her until she actually wakes? Or should I be worried that she’s constantly grunting and squirmy?

My little boy is sooo noisy at night I have the same problem. I think as long as they are over their birth weight it's perfectly fine not to wake for feeds

Could it be wind? Do you get good burps from her after a feed/keep her upright for 20 minutes after the feed?

My boy is 11 weeks tomorrow and still does it!!!! We Tey putting a dummy in 1st to see if he goes bk to sleep. 90% of the time he does x

Could be windy. We've just got some infacol to see if that helps

I mentioned this to my health visitor because my little boy is the same and she said it was perfectly normal and not to worry or wake them unless they get distressed. It’s REM sleep or something so it’s just a developmental stage at about 4-5 weeks. She told me, as long as they have reached/exceeded birth weight you don’t need to wake to feed so enjoy the longer stretches if you have them!

Mine does this, he’s super windy. I usually just wind him and then he is much quieter!

My boy does this, usually trapped wind which then wakes him up, this is after I’ve spent ages winding him and he seems out for the count, sometimes it happens about 10 mins after I put him down - not much sleep for me 🫠
