Bedtime

What is a normal bed time for a 4month old? I’m going to try really hard to get into a routine but I have been taking her bed about 9pm and she won’t actually fall asleep so I can put her down until 22:30 then is up 4/5/6 times a night and wakes up at 9/930. Any tips at all for bed time will really be appreciated.

My 4 month old goes to bed at 10pm, he has his last feed at around 9/9:30pm and then we do a calming routine of baby massage or reading a book or singing. I’ve noticed that he sleeps better on days that I take him out on a walk and whenever he gets all his day naps in but he usually sleeps 4-5hours then gets up for one feed and then sleeps for another 4-5hours and then gets up for a feed after that he has his wake window and then goes back for a nap for a 1-2hrs. I used to do bathtime before bedtime which he loved but now he has eczema due to CMPA so I only do bathtime 3-4 times a week max. I also have a light (it lights up in different colours but we keep it on blue with „stars”) and I put that on during his last feed of the day, I feel like he now knows that we’re getting ready for bed when it’s on. I would recommend the huckleberry app, it helps to improve baby’s sleep

My baby falls asleep around midnight and doesn’t wake up till morning i don’t keep her on a schedule she kind of came up with it herself so I’m no help haha I just want to say good luck🫶🏼

9pm-10pm is good

For my son (10 weeks) we usually do last feed at 9pm, then we wind him down with bath time (3 times a week max), dim lights and baby massage with a bedtime lotion. The nursery has a light, sound machine/ air purifier and I turn on lullabies or environmental display on the TV to help him understand it’s bedtime. Around midnight or 1am he gets another feeding and then he is usually sleep for 3-4 hours. I am usually up for second feeding at 4/5am and then he sleeps again until 8/9am. At that point he is usually up until afternoon where he will begin a cycle of day naps ☺️. This is the start of my routine and I am hoping we begin seeing him sleep longer through the night soon. But I’m down to just two feedings in the night. My son is only 2.5 months and is already so aware that I believe it’s possible but also he’s still young and adapting. The routine has helped my husband and I tremendously with better sleep patterns. Our nights have significantly improved since adding a routine.

My little one goes down anywhere between 7.30 and 8 x

My little one has been going down around 7/7:30 since he was around 4 1/2 months (he’s 6 months now) and sleeps until about 6 or 7am. We do what hubby and I call ‘the triple B’ Bath, Bottle, Bed. We got him in that routine and it has seemed to work for us so far, I also made sure we did everything at the same time every night, gave him an extra ounce or two than what he got during the day for his bedtime bottle. Every baby is different though, I formula feed so that may also play a part in him sleep through the night vs someone who breastfeeds.

Around 7 give or take depending on last nap, I find huckleberry really helpful xx

Based off of wake windows and nap schedule my 4 month old goes down between 630-8! Unfortunately still young to have consistencies with bedtimes at least in my experience
