Sleep šŸ’¤

I feel like I am alone in this seeing most moms day their babies are asleep by 8/9 . My son wakes up around 8/9am and will not sleep until around 1/2 and I usually have him up by 4. No matter what I do he stays up until 12am! And about 4 days out of the week he is up around 4-6am. I’m so confused and tired ? I tried skipping his nap one day thinking it would help but it did not. When the weather is nice and not freezing or raining I take him outside, but even on those days it doesn’t seem to make a difference. He also eats three meals a day and quite a bit most of the time so I know he’s getting enough food in his belly. (We bedshare by the way) and I’m not sure if I should get him his own bed and just start putting him in it because I don’t want to do the cry it out method. Any tips??!

I would try wearing him out in the morning and moving his nap up. My son wakes up about 8-9am and naps by 12:30 because he gets so tired and cranky by noon. I’d try that for a week and if it doesn’t happen skip his nap for a week. I’ve heard it takes a bit of time and you have to do it consecutively. I’d also maybe try his own sleeping space. I still rock my son for 5-20 mins before laying him down but he also gets MUCH better sleep in his crib than he did when we bed shared. He actually took to it pretty well, I don’t do the cry it out method either. I was terrified of putting him in his crib thought it would be a nightmare but it was the best thing for him. I hope something works. Hang in there ā¤ļø

Right before nap time have a full belly a bottle and then try sleep training. I'm weaning my son off his daily naps because he doesn't need it. But he only sleeps two hours during the day which I pray for 10am to 12pm (lunch)

No advice just wanted you know you’re not alone. Mt son (17 months) has been going to bed at 8:30/9 wakes up 11:30/12, 2/3, and wide awake 4-6am It just started a week ago and we have no clue what’s going on. We coslept and he’s been in his big boy bed for a few months now. And honestly doesn’t make a difference if he’s in our bed or his it’s still the same…. Hang in there mama! It can’t last forever… right???

@Tessa definitely can’t last forever šŸ˜…

Quick update: I just started waking up super early with him, and letting him take his nap around ten am until 12 . Then keep him up until bedtime around 8:30/9 and it’s only been a few days BUT I have been getting more sleep at night and he stays asleep until around 6:30am now. If I don’t stay up on TikTok I feel well rested. A win is a win , thank you ladies

Yahhhh! I’m glad that’s working for you!!! Maybe slowly push the nap back in the morning! 12-8pm awake may start getting a cranky baby and earlier bedtime! But I’m glad it’s working so far!!
