Midwife said you can sleep on your back as long as you’re comfortable and it’s no problem to wake up on your back. You will feel dizzy and nauseous if circulation is affected and automatically roll over in your sleep/ notice when you’re awake. Circulation is best on your left but if you feel good you’re fine on all sides!
i think it’s okay if you wake up on your back, just roll over (hard ik). i think they just try and say not to go to sleep on your back cause there’s a nerve you can put pressure on
I always wake up when I'm on my back now..I told midwife I was worried and they said don't worry I was waking up because I kinda knew I was on my back. They said later on I wouldn't be able to be on my back through comfort anyway 😅
@Aimee a vein (vena cava) otherwise you're correct :)
It's ok to wake up on your back, you don't have much control over it, but it's best if you roll over to your side when you wake up x
