@Laura Byrne she will fall asleep on her milk and put her down but ideally I would like her to self soothe! X
@Charlotte that will come in time. My son was eight before I stopped doing bedtime and he went into his own bed. One is far too young.
My daughter was the same and still can be. I started by not letting her nap past 4pm and then put her in drowsy. I would stay by the cot and pat her bum and shushing her if she started to become unsettled. I would do this until she dropped to sleep. If she became unsettled I would continue to do this and try not to pick her up. If she became worse I would eventually pick her up and rock her. I hold back a bit and wait to see if she will settle herself which might mean leaving her to whine / cry for a few minutes but she eventually does go back. It’s so hard I was in the same position and we’ve had a few nights recently she’s not been great. 12m sleep regression and teething really hit us hard x
@Laura Byrne my daughter who is 3 was putting herself to sleep from awake at 13 months and goes to bed independently after a story now without any trouble, this one is just alot different from her but would like her to do it too
Well it’s good if she self soothe coz it’s hard mine is 14 months I have to rock no Matter how many times he wake up md in the middle of the night it’s soo hard
I tend to accept one being asleep and just work on the rest. Why don’t need to put them down awake? Can you not feed and rock to sleep? We sometimes use the buggy and walk to sleep on a night as we did sleep conditioning to make it possible for a fast bedtime.
