Milk at night

Is anyone else’s baby on cows milk and still wakes for milk at night? For us, she wakes up once a night and easiest way to settle her back off is milk. Shes one tomorrow so thinking about transitioning; how do people give cows milk in the night ? I don’t want to be coming downstairs every night to grab her some, is there a way to store it? She’s not fussy and will take anything any way so looking for the best way!

My drs say during the night when they wake to give them water and soon they stop waking up through out the night because it’s the brain forcing themself awake for milk but remove that from the equation and after a few weeks it’ll be sleeping all through out the night

Was she BF before? Or formula? Just curious as mine rarely needs milk at night but when she does/did I still always had to come downstairs for it so Im curious what you have done so far lol maybe I have been missing something 😂🙈

My eldest, who stopped having any milk in the night when he was 14/15mo, continued to wake up, and still sometimes wakes in the night now and he’s 3.5 years old. Whilst she might be waking for milk and stopping it could help, she might also be waking for a thousand other reasons too. Night weaning helps some babies to sleep better, and makes no difference to others. I can guarantee you if it was as simple as offering water instead of milk, we’d all have babies sleeping 12h at night undisturbed… which just isn’t true! Cool bag? If she’s happy to have it cold. That’s what we did for my eldest when he was having some milk in the night still.

@Chloe we have a few occasions where she would sleep through and not need milk, but will try this thank you! Warm water or cool?

@CeeCee formula!! We’d always just take a hot water flask and cold water up to bed and mix that way when we stopped BF 😂

@Chloe sometimes she will sleep through the night so I’m not 100% sure it is milk she’s after. She’s not a fussy baby tbh, so will look into a cool bag thank you!!

I give it to her sorta warm but more in the middle. If you L/O is over 12m warm juice helps too. Nappy changing or maybe the room temperature? I have a blanket in the crib for her and after showing her that it helps keep her warm she loves sleeping with it and that’s helped too
