My mom suggested this this morning. I am also curious to understand that
Yes absolutely fine as long as it can obviously recline! I’ve never had a Moses basket, we either used a travel cot (if I could be bothered to put it up) or our baby nest. My two loved their nest. You can only use it if your awake alongside baby and watching them but I found it way more practical because we’d take it outside during summer and as they got older used it for tummy time and laying on the floor with toys.
It’s absolutely fine to do, but easiest if you can leave it on the pram base. We bought a stand for ours but I found it really hard work (esp after c section) to be taking it on and off all the time. Moses baskets can be so cheap or get on on Facebook marketplace. We ended up getting one a bit later.
I never had a Moses basket with our first and it was fine. I actually went on a lot of walks so most naps were in the pram as we were out. I can’t imagine it being stationery indoors would make it any different.
We did this for our first but she very quickly became a contact nap only baby - on me or in sling. Refused to sleep in any form of bed/cot during the day.
Yes some brands are suitable for overnight sleeping. I have the bugaboo and used it.
i’d say it’s easier with a moses basket as you don’t have to take the pram in and out of the car all the time we used to take the moses basket in our back garden and my daughter loved it as they usually come with a hoid and you can also buy an umbrella to clip on for extra shade
I’d say absolutely fine. Some prams are safe for overnight sleep (I had the bugaboo fox 5 and that’s approved). I used the Moses basket for all of 2.5 months last time so deffo don’t spend a lot x
