My house can range from 19 degrees to 22 degrees at night, all depends on how cold it is and if we put the heating on or not, but I’m unsure of what to put my 7 week old in.. I have a 1 tog sleep bag and a 2.5 tog, but with both I’m unsure of what to put underneath. I have tried looking online, but every guide is different so I’m very unsure!

I would do 1 tog with a sleepsuit and see how they go. My house gets down to 15 overnight and my boy would need long sleeve vest, sleepsuit, socks, 2.5tog and a blanket - he was always cold!

i normally have her in a vest, sleep suit and then a blanket doubled over and she seems to be fine with that, im wondering what the equivalent would be in tog 😂

@Lii I think they say a blanket is the same as 0.5 tog, so a doubled over blanket would be 1 tog! I'm open to correction though 😊

ooo ok! Would make sense! Thank you x

Curious is your heat broken or ??? Because 22 is insane to sleep in

we had a thermometer in her Moses basket and we always thought because it was an enclosed space it was warmer! We would only ever have the heating on at 20 degrees max but that’s when it’s really cold

my house is usually 16-21 and i have my little boy in a sleepsuit, 2.5 tog and a blanket usually a cellular one (two if the temperature has really dropped) and he’s always been nice and warm

Our house is 19-21 at night and my boy sleeps in a long sleeve vest, sleepsuit and 1.5 tog bag and I’d say that’s pretty spot on for him 😊

celcius!

a cellular blanket is considered 1 tog

@Sarah thanks wasn't sure if I was remembering correctly

do you add sock even if their legs are already cover with the sleep suit?

yes. Just cos he was still waking up cold. The extra layer seemed to help! And to be honest I sleep in socks when I’m cold too!

Depending on sleep sack they shouldn’t be used untill a certain weight x

oh amazing!

Ours also range around that temperature and my little girl is a 2.5 tog sleeping bag. Then she sleeps in a short sleeved vest & sleepsuit😊

whether it’s different because we’re in the UK but that’s a prefect temperature for babies to sleep in. My house goes around 16 at night and sometimes lower

ohhhhhhh

I didn’t know this was in celsius 😂 my bad

We use a 1 tog sleeping bag with Bonds Cooling wondersuit underneath so it’s extremely thin & breathable as our baby runs warm. Our room is usually around 22

We have long sleeve pjs and 1tog sleeping bag and our house is meant to stay at 21.5 but it feels colder than that

Our room is always between 19.5 and 21 and we put little one in a short sleeve vest, sleep suit and a 1 tog sleeping bag and that seems to have worked well for us
