Swimming advice:)

What is everyone using for 1.5/2yo to keep afloat in the pool? I used one of those floaty rings when he was much smaller but I'm sure he's too small for armbands?

I would just hold them at that age. Much safer x

Armbands and a vest for my boy and we go almost every week x

We used just armbands! He’s 2.5 now and almost swimming! The vests don’t help them in the future to learn to swim as they keep them upright rather than helping them be in the float position x

You can buy 0-2 age arm bands which we use with my little boy xx

Puddle jumper or pfd. Nothing inflatable until they learn how to swim on their own. Water wings or arm floaties are really bad for shoulder joints.
Always spend time without the floatation device to avoid false sense of ability.

We used a swim vests that had floats attached to it but we hated it because she kept going face into the water. We ended up just holding her until we found some small arm bands x

We've never used any so that my kid knows she can't float and will sink if not held because you don't want them to have a false sense of security with water. Now at 3 we've introduced a pool noodle that she uses under the arms to get the practice with swimming around but since we never used floaters before she has a healthy sense of what happens if she's not holding the noodle
