I thought we were moving within two weeks sometime last year, we never did, I never unpacked a handful of boxes including my coffee maker(not keurig super simple one). I was half baked and must’ve left a filter with grounds in it and it’s moldy🤢. I just want coffee😭😔

If possible you can sometimes get them between 15-20$ at Walmart

Just toss it and get a new one. There’s no way to ensure you get all the mold out of it now. Sorry :( I just had to throw my keurig away too because of mold in our house.

Okay. Here’s what I would do. First disassemble it and wash anything you can with very hot soapy water. That’s anything that is meant to come apart from the machine. Rinse thoroughly.
Remove any visible mold from the machine and use a damp rag to wipe off what you can.
Then run a 50/50 solution of water and vinegar TWICE. Then run it again just water. Then I’d get descaling solution to run it again. Then again with just water.
As long as the mold didn’t start growing into any tube or anything it should be okay after you flush it out throughly.
Until then grab some cold brew from your local store or brew your own cold brew concentrate.
that’s the one we have we just can’t get another yet and I’m like shiiii maybe I keep for the smell and the coffee fumes wake me up each morning 😭
I think I'm gonna toss it😭 after thinking on it maybe I shouldn’t risk it ugh do you think if I just made coffee for smell that distributes spores I missed? I'm so anxious idek if I can do that 😭
that's what I'm thinking😢
thank you for a possible solution but idk if I could drink it just thinking about what was in it ugh though that does seem like it would work

Idk, I would toss it and buy another simple one.
In the meantime i would buy some cold coffee from the local grocery store till i could get a new coffee maker.

They might have one even cheaper at a thrift shop

I’d get a new one 🤢

👍 as long as your happy that’s what important.
