Chickenpox - Poxclin opinion / reviews

So my 2 year old has chickenpox for the second time, this time round it’s like it’s worse than last time (or last time it wasn’t chickenpox and was something else, even though the pharmacy and gp said they were pox)
Anyway, they come on very quickly on Thursday… and last night I’ve never seen him so uncomfortable/ itchy and so irritable at night… from when he went to bed at 20:15, within an hour he was awake and back and forth with hardly any sleep, scratching, rolling around, crying etc etc until 03:30 this morning.

We’re using calamine lotion, piriton and Calpol, and doing oat meal baths… but at bedtime it seems Calpol and piriton aren’t even touching it!!

I’ve seen Poxclin and wanted to know peoples honest opinions on it as I’m thinking of going to get some shortly

My little one also has chickenpox currently we are 1 week and 2 days in I’ve used poxclin it’s like mousse texture first week but I wasn’t sure if it was working so I switched to gel virasoothe feel like it covers the spots on layer and is better
But who knows the process of the spots going from mosquito bite look to a liquid blister to a crust is just long

these are 100% chicken pox, the first time he had them I don’t think it was chickenpox pox as it’s was more clumped together and rashy/ spots with heads and pus etc..

But these are 100% pox x

the first time I think it was 2 and a half week, we’re only now 3 days in and from day 1 they were blisters and today there’s new ones that’s coke but most of the blisters have popped / some have scabbed - it’s just such a long process as I know we’re not even close to being over it by now.
I’ve heard so many reviews about Poxclin and virasmooth - but willing to give something else a try just to see if it eases his itching 😩

oh gosh, I can only imagine your stress especially with a new born 😩 yeah we’ve got the calamine lotion (which I think is the same but he just seems to itch so much with it and especially at bed time, he can’t settle because it’s so bad xxx

Yes would totally recommend the aqueous version of the calamine! Literally bought about 4 tubes of the stuff as we just smothered my son in the stuff. Really helped 👍🏻
