Nappies - what do you use?

My son has an awful nappy rash. We’ve had to get special creams from the DRs, it’s only day 2 but no improvement as yet.

We are using pampers. Rash started when using sainsburys but have been using pampers for at least a week and it’s only getting worse so don’t think it’s related. Wondering if we try another brand or if this will only make things worse.

He barely ever cries but is in pain when I change his nappy. 😭😭

We use Pampers and always found them the best for us to wick away moisture. Lots of nappy off time to just air it out helped us with rash (I was happy to hold with a towel and take risk of pee or poo!) and metanium

We're using Aldi's & no issues so far

We've been using a mixture to find the right ones. My son got nappy rash and we found its got better after going back to using cotton pads and water (in the house, water wipes when out), bit of air time and with bepanthem and its nearly cleared up.

We use Tesco and found it better than pampers in terms of rash, nappy leak and the blue line

Aldi nappies and Aldi extra sensitive wipes. We had used some Mama Bear wipes from Amazon at first and quickly realised it was the wipes causing the rash so we switched to the Aldi ones.

GP suggested bepanthen and a nappy cream containing zinc (Morrisons Nutmeg range do one). It helped clear the rash within a couple of days

thank you. I only used pampers on my first and she never had a nappy rash until muuuch older. He maybe has sensitive skin and he always poos a lot ☹️

Metanium is not touching it unfortunately. I will try some nappy off time, thank you x

thank you. We’ve changed from water wipes to cotton pads and cool boiled water too. Tried bepanthem and it just got worse and worse. ☹️

thank you, might try these

thanks, I do my shopping here so might give them a try.

I do wonder if the water wipes originally caused it as I heard some newborns can be sensitive.

Thanks for the tips!

We had this, horrific nappy rash in first two weeks changed nappies and creams. We found cotton wool and water only, cream which is a miracle worker is aquaphor baby and pampers nappy’s we are 7 weeks PP no rashes in site! Oh and we put him on a puppy pad if any signs of rash for nappy off time! Make sure his areas are dry and stay away from wipes!

Pampers are the only nappies that don’t give my little boy a rash (typical lol) but call me crazy, a sprinkle of cornflour in nappies. Draws up all the moisture and works a bloody treat!

thank you. I’ll stick to pampers for now as I know they are generally safest. Worried to change and it makes it worse.

We’re using cotton pads and water, avoiding wipes unless in public. I’m going to definitely do some nappy free time today x

thank you. Yeah typical, they are so expensive 🤣 I’ll stick with them until rash is cleared. I’ve heard about the cornflour before! Might try it.
