We did the injection both times, it’s more effective that way :)

Injection. Then you know they are getting it properly

Injection here too

Injection.

After doing some research we opted for oral vitamin K

Injection

We opted for baby to have it orally, not because I had concerns about the safety of the injection but because I didn't like the idea of him having an injection so soon after birth. However having seen how much he hated having it orally I don't think an injection would have been any worse! It was a bit of a pain organising the second dose of the oral one as it comes in a little glass vial that I'd have had no idea how to open. We got a midwife to do it for us in the end. If I had another baby, I'd just get the injection and be done with it!

We went for the oral drops after research x

Injection

I delayed all injections and vaccines until 4mo, and again until 3yo.

Injection first baby. Drops the second baby. Both were easy.

Injection with my first and my 2nd will be having the injection too, it's quicker, more effective and you can be sure they've had the correct dosage x

Injection. The possible side effect is some pain and swelling at the injection site..like with any other injection. Other more serious side effects have been debunked by a lot of large scale studies. Oral is another option but the studies show it’s less effective in preventing vitamin K deficiency bleeding (which can cause brain bleed and death).

Injections here too

vitamin k isn't a vaccine

Injection at birth. Glad we did because he needed to have a surgical procedure at 48 hours that we weren't prepared for so having that on board was good just in case

Injection

Injection. I had baby latched to boob when they gave it and he didn’t even flinch. I know I would’ve forgotten the drops and the benefits outweigh the risk in my eyes

yeah I’ve noticed I said vaccines, meant injections lol I was probably half sleep commenting

Oral drops

Injection. No regrets. She barely even realised it happened

I would have chosen injection if I’d had a choice because it’s easier but they don’t offer the injection here, so we had to do drops.
