Considering move to solely expressing

Hi everyone, My little boy will be 7 weeks tomorrow and is EBF. He’s always been unsettled on the breast, I have a really fast letdown so 9 times out of 9 he chokes and then gets worked up, frustrated etc. he is gulping down air which is then making him windy and upset. It’s just all quite upsetting really. Some feeds he is absolutely fine but the difficult ones are hard to forget. I’m considering moving to expressing and bottle feeding full time. Does anyone have any experience with this? I know it will be hard work but I breast fed his brother for 8 months so I want to try and give him breast milk for as long as I can. I should add that we’ve had the help of midwives and feeding leads. He has been assessed as having a slight tongue tie but the paediatrician said cutting it wouldn’t have an impact on feeding. Thanks in advance xx

Personally, solely expressing wasn’t for me. I felt like it was a full time job washing bottles, finding time to pump, figuring out how much milk to put in bottles, etc. It does work for some people though! Give it a try xx
