LO has fever
Hey everyone! My little one has been dealing with a stomach bug for about 5 days now. First 2 days were hell with diarrhea and vomiting and then she got put on zofran by her doctor. The vomiting and diarrhea got better after the first dose and now she’s back to eating and drinking slowly but last night she spiked a fever of 38.5 being the highest. I gave her Advil and then she spiked a fever again in her sleep so I gave Advil again after 6 hours. She is also teething. Should I be concerned about the fever ? This is her first time getting a fever so I’m stressing. Please help!

We were in the same situation a couple weeks ago. Her fever will go down, you just have to keep on top of giving her medicine. If her fever lasts more than 3 days, I’d start to get a little worried but when we went through it, my LO fever finally broke on the third day and stayed down after that. But from the first day of her having a fever to the third, it was all over the place.
a fever isn’t always a bad or scary thing! if she has a virus that just means her body is doing what it needs to fight it. teething can definitely contribute to it too. keep her hydrated and at a comfortable temperature, just watch her closely
