My son has done this since 3 months. I have to feed him in a place with no distracting noises/visuals otherwise he will stop every 2-5 seconds and look around. He will stop to look and smile at me but I just keep staring forward and pretend to not see him looking so he starts eating again. This combination works every time for me.
My 4 month old daughter is like this. I have to go somewhere quiet with few distractions. I also find she often feeds better while sleepy, so letting her feed while napping is getting some extra calories in!
Normal! I call it the squirrel phase lol all 4 of my kiddos have done it. I just try to keep them by for a while and nurse on demand. It’s biologically super normal when they’re going through big life events like learning things to sleep worse
