Highly thinking about getting on some type of ozempic after I’m don’t breastfeeding. I cannot stand how I look and I been eating better doing all the things but I feel like I just keep gaining. I can’t even look at pictures or in the mirror anymore it’s so bad. I’m worried that my daughter will ask why there isn’t any photos of us together when she gets older. Should I do it? Or keep trying to diet?

Your body and the way in which it retains fat will completely shift once you stop breastfeeding. It’s not worth making plans until you’ve stopped and given your body some time to adjust. For now keep trying to be kind to yourself. Something that helped me a bit was really increasing my protein intake. As for pictures, same here but I still insist on them being taken. One day you will want to look back on them, even if u don’t like them now. Your daughter also won’t care about your size, she will just see memories of her and her mama.
you’re right. I should probably wait and see how things are once I stop breastfeeding. Thank you for your advice and insight 🩷 honestly made me feel better

I would strongly advise against it. My mother is on Ozempic. There have been times she was unable to get her medication because of a lack of supply. Because people are using it for cosmetic weight loss. It's taking supply away from the people who actually need it for health reasons.
Also, it makes her feel horrible. She can't stand the taste of any food anymore, never actually feels hungry, and it gives her very bad nausea and headaches.

Well, I’m definitely getting on it! As soon as I can.

*I forgot to mention, the reason she's on it is because she's diabetic. So she does need the medication for health reasons.

There’s holistic forms, no shots, of it out there that help naturally raise the GLP hormone that’s already existing in your body. Depending on what diets you’re doing they may be hurting more than helping you. If it’s creating a bad relationship with food, it’s not the one for you.

I’ve just started a course or Monjauro which is similar to Ozempic to aid with loosing weight (I am also dieting and going to the gym) I’ve been on it a 2 weeks and feel absolutely fine my appetite is just really really reduced. So I’m making sure I eat lots of good calories like fish, protein, veggies etc. I haven’t weighed myself yet though!
I feel fine so far 😊

Try Glucose Goddess first she has Instagram and books - I was the same not losing ANYTHING and lost 9 pounds so far and it’s only been 2/3 weeks ❤️

I've been on monjaro for 5 weeks now plus doing the carnivore diet and I've lost nearly a stone.

You need to keep taking those photos hun. Our kids don’t see any insecurities of ours when they look back on our pics- they see their mama. Smiling. Gazing in their eyes. Pushing the swing. Pushing the pram. Holding them, holding their hands. Imagine if we grew up w no photos of us and our mum because she had insecurities…would we care? No. We’d wish that she took more photos and we had some to look back on. They’ll only see their mother, so regardless how you feel please don’t stop taking lots of photos and videos. It’s for them, not us 🙂
true I know she won’t care how I looked. I gotta get over my insecurities for her. I just cringe so badly when I see myself 😭 but I should really focus on her

Try naturally losing weight as soon as you give up the injections weight gain is put back. Also these injections were similar to diabetes jabs, they act on the pancreas and be careful or mindful that this is equally a risk. After post birth usually naturally takes up to two years to get back to original figure pre baby. Try light diet, gentle excercise and walking daily, quite carbs and high saturated fat or processed foods and take away. Go more for a clean diet like vegetable and fruits and lots of water. Take selenium, zink, magnesium, vitamin c these all speed up weight loss metabolism naturally. Also review ozempic 60 minute documentary on YouTube you would have a more balanced view whether to take it or not.

If your doctor agree that it’s a good idea, I would say go for it

I get it. I ballooned to 199 pregnant (I’m only 5’2!) post-birth dropped to 178. But I was stuck there until baby was 8 months old. Until I joined the program and actually watched my calories and protein!
I started in September and I’m down to 152!!! So I’ve lost 26 pounds in 6 months. Still have a ways to go until I’m satisfied. But that group changed everything for me.
I was SO SICK of hearing “just wait until you wean!” I didn’t want to stop- and were still nursing at 13 months - and I’m losing weight!!
It’s really about watching the calories but being mindful to eat enough protein and water to keep breastfeeding.

Hi! I totally understand the struggle during postpartum with body changes and how attractive GLP-1 drugs can be. But I tell my clients that as great as the medication can be it’s not a magic pill. And it doesn’t change the body acceptance work you will need to do. Feel free to PM if you want to chat more :)
