Playing up

Is anyone’s toddler really playing up at the moment? He is ok when he is with his dad but when he is with me, he is moany, cries all the time, wants me to constantly hold him and just seems miserable and I’m really struggling and it’s making me so emotional. I hate to say this but I would rather be at work and I absolutely hate my job 😔 he doesn’t like eating anyway but he lets his dad feed him and doesn’t play up as much but refuses to let me feed him so when I have him for the two days on my own in the week, he doesn’t eat. Is this normal or is anyone else going through the same with their toddler?

To add, I’m nearly 30 weeks pregnant so I’m struggling to hold him all the time and I have bad hip pain now and I reckon that is why

Yes it’s normal he may sense your pregnant aswell, try and keep some hours of your days together completely free to be able to cuddle and play with him as much as you can and see if he changes his attitude towards you any. Sometimes when my little girl starts being like that I have to make a day with her where I just solely give her all the attention and try to get the bond back as much as I can I am also 28weeks pregnant I know this isn’t easy! But if you can get the chance try to reconnect with your baby so your not so overwhelmed when your new one comes along c

Obviously you have a bond with your baby 😆😭 but you know what I mean xx

It’s really tough with a toddler being pregnant - try to rest if you can - we had to tell my daughter that I couldn’t pick her up because my tummy was sore towards the end of my second pregnancy and after (elective c-section) as I literally couldn’t pick her up. She did get used to it although it was hard - I had to say I can hold your hand or daddy can pick you up. And did a lot of cuddles where I would crouch down or kneel on the floor!
