Tubing pump with a 1 month old

Hi mammas, i have a weird form of diabetes, was on a pump when i was young, then on only metphormin, then put on an omnipod during pregnancy now after birth im on the pen shots. I’m wanting to go back to a pump for less injections. I was a huge fan of the omnipod because of the bulkyness of the pod (like wearing an AirPod case lol) and my skin hates the adhesive. Does anyone have a t-slim? Has there been an issue with your baby ripping it out from snagging the tubing. I have a tubing pump growing up and it was fine, occasional snag on a doorknob ot some shit but overall fine.

I don’t have t slim, I have Medtronic, but I didn’t have any issues with my son pulling on it or yanking it out. He’s 7 now (been type 1 since he was 2) and does mdi cuz he doesn’t want anything attached to himself for now.

I have a t slim and I didn't have any additional issues with the tubing. Especially that young, your little one won't have any interest in the tubing. You're way more likely to catch it on a doorknob 😆 (speaking from experience)

I have the T slim, and the only issue I ever come across was when I would put my pump site on my stomach and then hold my son. Sometimes it would rub and hurt or when I would go to put him down, he would slide against it and it would come off. The adhesive is really small though but strong honestly and I really really love my pump!! the control IQ is just such a great feature and when I pair my pump with my Dexcom, I had an A1c of six flat and i literally just live my life the most normal i ever had since id been diagnosed (18 years ago) because key pump and dexcom do all the thinking for me. good luck 🤍

Don’t have the t slim but tubing gets pulled out by her the door cabinets too try the sticker skins they have for them they work really well I will do it after a shower so my skin won’t get well for at least 24 hrs so it sticks better also found if you put it on the back of your arms for both sensor and infusion set they last the whole 7 days

I’m allergic to latex so I know the skins shouldn’t bother you only if you take it off with out alcohol 78%
