Why is making friends so hard 😭

I’m 32 a mom of three. I hate to say that I haven’t had a close friend in almost 10 years. All my conversations are with my children since I’m a SAHM. Everyday I wish I had friends that I could just text and send funny memes to all day 🄺 I’m so lonely I hate it 😭 I really want to get past the surface level conversations of ā€œhey how are you and wydā€

Do they go to school? Could you volunteer at their school?

Feel free to message me anytime girl! I’m in the same boat

The same here in the UK. I feel like don’t want to talk to anyone these days. Must be getting used to it. šŸ˜’

It most definitely sucks.. My daughter just told me i need friends

Hey girly feel free to message me ā˜ŗļø I'm free randomly threw the day n alot during the night due to working nights but I do reply threw out the day when I'm up

I send far too many memes too. lol.

This felt like a Sunday sermon…because I got the goosebumps reading this. You said nothing but FACTS

In the uk but girl sameeee. I'm 33 and don't really have many friends at all!

@Amanda only one is in school right now. I’ve always wanted to volunteer but they don’t allow younger children to attend.

We can definitely connect!!!

I feel the same way. I can really relate to you. I am always looking for friends and people that I can talk to and I don't annoy.

It is girl in high school was so easy 😭

Same over here. I am a super introvert and a single mom of 4. My life is kids, work & school. Finding friends is super hard

Do they not go to school, the 5 and 10yr old? I meet mums at kinder and school drop off. But also, as a sahm look for baby groups and mothers groups and groups at the library that’s where I find my mum friends, I found some on here too from reaching out. Go where mums go, and keep reaching out on here and good luck Xx A hobby you attend is also great and a way to make friends, but the women I meet there are not all mums but I don’t want all mum friends so that’s okay w me.

Same!! Wish we lived in the same city.

I’m 32 and feel like I have no deep real connections. It’s extremely lonely but obviously we aren’t alone! I love this platform it’s helping with my mental health. I am struggling to get myself past surface level responses and questions… but craving it so much

@Kellie my 10 year old does, my 5 year old doesn’t because he has a late October birthday so he didn’t qualify to go for the 24/25 school year. He goes to a 1 hour parent and me preschool program though but the moms aren’t that friendly unfortunately and keep to themselves.

I hate that most of us feel the same! But I love that I’m not alone!

@Kayla I always say I’m an introverted extrovert because I LOVE being by myself but I CRAVE wanting to be able to put myself out there and I have such high social anxiety that keeps me from doing it.

@Kristin the thing I’ve learned which is hard for us introverts, is set a date to meet up quick. It’s so much easier to keep a conversation going and connect in person. And if you don’t set a meet up quick, it rarely happens.

I have a WhatsApp group for mamma's from peanut 🄜 we share advice, rants , life stuff and do polls etc if anyone wants to join send me a message and will send the link x

I’d love to chat. Feel free to message me

I wasn’t expecting there to be so many like minded women and for so many to reach out! I’ve messaged everyone back today. I know I’m a whole month late. I’ve been through the trenches 😭 and trying to find my way back
