Can I ask are you being induced for medical reasons or is this an elective induction. I'm just curious because I wanted to be induced after 38 weeks doctors I see at this particular office are different almost everytime and one tells me I can electivly choose to be induced at 39w and then another one tells me something else. Just like last week I was told I was 1cm and today I was told my cervix is closed and I'm not dilated at all. Makes no sense I'm getting frustrated with these docs

@Nicole Freitas so my doctors said they would not induce me before 40-41 weeks if I have no complications. So I originally went ready and willing to schedule that. I really didn’t want to be induced but also did not want to go past my due date. But then I start present protein in my urine and it is pretty high so now they are inducing me at 39 weeks. I haven’t gotten a cervical check yet but I hear it’s best to be dilated so I’m doing what can to help speed the process up so when I go I’m starting with something

@Nicole Freitas I did hear this happens and dilation can go back it’s doesn’t mean that you won’t progress again. I really thinking letting your body do it own thing is best unless something comes up which I don’t wish on anyone

@Nicole Freitas I also was saying my whole pregnancy just induce and now that I’m about to be induced I’m so SCARED lol I’m trying to start it up naturally before hand as much as I can

I totally get that and everything with my pregnancy so far is good I'm just so anxious this is my second child and pregnancy is very different from my first.. like I'm in so much pain it's uncomfortable. Like it hurts when I walk so bad down there it feels like her head is sitting right at my opening and that's part of the reason I want to be induced as well as it's more convenient considering I have a 2 year old that I'd have to make sure I have somebody to watch him. I want to just let it happen Naturally but at the same time it feels more stressful considering my other child cause of have to get ahold of said caretaker which at this point idk who it'll be haha. I don't really talk to any of my family anymore

@Nicole Freitas yeah totally get that and I wanted that same level of control but now that I’m here I’m really nervous

I hear you. I think anybody would be nervous to give birth haha. Especially when the moment comes

I was induced 2 weeks ago at 39 weeks and they started with the foley ball!! I highly recommend looking up some videos about it, made me feel a lot less nervous about how they do it. I did the the labor course from mommy labor nurse on instagram and it made me feel super prepared I personally didn’t find that when they placed the foley ball that it was painful but my doctor said some women do! I was 1/2 dilated when they placed it and said it could stay in for up to 13 hours. My contractions started right away and were pretty intense!! Personally my foley ball fell out after about 5 hours and then they started me on pitocin and I had baby boy about 17 hours after foley ball was placed! My induction experience was pretty great! You got this!! Look it up so you feel confident with what’s happening and try to relax. Get as much rest as you can in early labor!

@Emma thank you so much for sharing ! I’m happy you had such a positive experience praying mine is similar 🩵

I was just induced at 39 weeks and the foley balloon definitely helped! It hurts like a bitch to get placed but it gives you a huge jumpstart on labor.

I am getting induced next week! On Wednesday! This is my 4th baby!

@Kaylee is this your first induction
