She was exhausted and hungry but she remembered she had pizza in the microwave waiting for her at home

Or so she thought, but little to her surprise she begain to feel a horrific change in her body.
She rushed up the stairs only to find the bathroom door locked
But she had thought she was home alone.
It must be Merlyn, the ghost, she thought. "Up to your ol' tricks, eh?" She said aloud. "Oh Merl, it's been too long. I thought you found another family to haunt. She finally opened the door.

To her surprise, there was a family of raccoons rummaging through her cupboards, Upon entry, they all stopped what they were doing and seemingly stared at her with utter disgust.
Where did these raccoons come from? And then she remembered that she left her garage open so they must have came through the doggy door.
As she stared at the doggy door, she felt an uneasy feeling come over her, the biting sensation of a cold stare, She turned to face the raccoons once again….
There standing in the darkened doorway was a large dark figure. She realized it was the man that lived in the neighborhood park. He was often seen feeding the raccoons at night but now he was in her house and he brought his raccoon friends.
She let out a massive scream! The dark figure turned to face her. In a deep, hoarse voice, he whispered, "Sssh, I'm not here to hurt you. I have something to tell you. Something that will change your life forever, but we cannot be overheard. Do you have somewhere where we can go?"
She hesitated before nodding in agreement, her voice uncertain as she asked, “Is the basement safe?” The basement? What was she thinking? This was insane. Every instinct told her to turn back—but for some reason, she trusted him. And so, they descended.
