Aspirin Help :/

Hello all, so I was prescribed aspirin 75mg and I’ve been taking it everyday no issues but I happened to look at the box today and saw that it says dissolve in water before taking. Feel very silly because I’ve just been swallowing it whole. Please tell me I’m not the only one 🫣🫣 Also I feel like it would gross having to swallow the water after it’s dissolved so is it essential that it’s dissolved in water ?

Hi, I take dissolvable aspirin. Tip for you, try it in flavoured water. You can’t taste a thing. I’ve been taking it like that for 3 weeks now. Any flavoured water is the trick! Xx

Yes I agree with Nic take it in a flavoured water or with a bit of juice in the water and you can’t taste it at all!

I got asked to take aspirin

I take mine whole, after struggling to dissolve it I spoke to a pharmacist, a doctor and a midwife and all said I could swallow it whole instead x

@Paige that’s strange because I spoke to midwife’s about this and pharmacists and they all said if I want to take aspirin without dissolving it I have to be prescribed the proper ones that you can take like that as can cause issues. Rather not risk it tbh

Ive got to start taking it too

I did this in my first pregnancy. Yeah it needs to be dissolved as it can cause I think stomach ulcers when it tries to dissolve in your system. I'm sure my midwife said that. You can get ones you don't need to dissolve but they don't let you buy them over the counter when pregnant
