Omeprazole

Hi moms! How do you give omeprazole to your wee one? I got 10mg tablets from the GP and have been told to give 3mg once a day. Completely confused! Also - are your babies better after omeprazole than gavisvon infant? Mine one after gaviscon was very gassy and it was difficult for her to poo (she was struggling all night to push it out). I felt to sorry for her!

My 3 year old gets omeprazole in a liquid form

We had omeprazole in liquid 1ml a day, when he was 4-6months. Before we used gaviscone and it was not as effective, loads of hassle and it was clogging up our bottle teats where the milk would be too thick to go through. I will alwayd vouch for omeprazole

Consult with a pharmacist - it should be the dissolvable Omeprazole? Disperse one tab in 10ml of water but only give 3ml of the dispersed tablet. Depends on the brand/whether it can be given that way
